Persian carpets are an essential part of Persian culture and art. These rugs are the bulk of exports from Persia or Iran. These are elegant and sophisticated materials. They were invented four thousand years before Egypt. These rugs not only add splendor home decoration but also are durable.
Weaving Style
These rugs can me made of simple threat, either horizontally or vertically. Vertical looms are of three kinds, Tabriz, roller beam loom weaving and people. Two knots were used. These blankets are divided into three types. Farsh or Qalii, Qalicheh and Kilim. Weaving had undergone many changes from antiquity to modern times. Wool is the most widely used material but cotton and silk are also used frequently. They are also classified as Persian city rugs tribal rugs and Persian.
Afshar carpets: These are designed with geometric motifs. Wool is the main base, but can also be used. The colors are dark red, orange, reddish brown, burned, and the camel.

Kerman carpets: These are also curvilinear patterns. These are popular for kerman illustrations that include flowers, boteh, stripes, etc. Persian gardens and used in European issues. Colors range of the rich green red, red-blue, pink, lime, ivory and turquoise.
Baluch rugs: These are hand woven by the Baluch tribe. The colors are usually burgundy with navy, and ivory.
Shiraz carpets: These are hand-woven carpets from Iran. Common designs are geometric, animals and plants. Red is the color most used.
Wiss rugs: These are tribal rugs with rich floral designs, gardens, vases, and foliage. Main color is dark red or burgundy shade.
